HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER

HR Manager will provide generalist support and will be responsible for all areas of HR and general affairs for our Client's entities based in Luxembourg office, with a strong focus on supporting it's other entities. In addition, HR Manager will act as HR Business Partner for EU Technical Division (EUTD), which employs staff in the UK, Germany and France, and support Head of HR - Europe with implementation of cross-EU projects. The role is aimed at providing a day-to-day HR Management and HR Business Partner support to Luxembourg Office and EUTD, at providing project support for European and local HR projects and at striving to create value added HR services that are closely meeting business needs as well as the highest standards of operational excellence.
RESPONBILITIES & DUTIES
  • Providing generalist support and advice as well as hands-on management of activities across all HR areas (for Luxembourg office): from resource planning, recruitment, onboarding, payroll, compensation and benefits, performance management, training and development, employee engagement to management of matters related to expat and cross-border staff.

  • Providing advice and guidance on all issues related to Employee Relations (for Luxembourg office), including advice on legislation changes; ensuring that all activities concerning Employee Relations are fully compliant with the Luxembourg labor and case law, with the Collective Bargaining Agreement for Bank Employees (the latter is applicable to our Client), best HR practices and the Company’s policy.

  • Expat issues management and overseeing general affairs for Luxembourg Office.

  • Acting as HR Business Partner for EU Technical Division for non-transactional HR aspects, including but not limited to on-boarding, training and career development, career frameworks, employee engagement, org chart updates and HR databases, reporting, etc.

  • Reporting to Head of HR - Europe, Global HR and Executives of our Client and EUTD as and when required.

  • Supporting Head of HR in implementation of cross-EU and local HR projects as well as HR projects driven by Global HR as and when required.

  • Driving continuous improvements to achieve the highest standards of operational excellence in HR.

  • Team management (Office Manager/HR Coordinator).

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE

  • University degree required, preferably in HR or Business Administration.

  • Fluency in English and French (spoken and written).

  • At least 5 years post qualification experience in HR, in a fast-moving and dynamic organization, having generalist responsibility for a business unit or business area. Experience of working in Luxembourg is a must. Experience in e-commerce or digital business is an advantage, banking sector experience is desirable.

  • Good knowledge of Collective Bargaining Agreement for Bank Employees in Luxembourg.

  • Excellent attention to detail whilst delivering against challenging objectives.

  • Highly flexible and proven ability to work in a demanding dynamic environment, a ‘can-do’ and ‘hands-on’ attitude.

  • Mentality of ‘walking the extra mile’ and focus on delivering excellent service to internal customers.

  • Ability to work autonomously.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication; excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships across different remote locations, with different functions and at all organizational levels. 

  • IT literacy and knowledge of HR management systems.
